Donald Trump has had a wild week — and it’s only Wednesday

The bizarre week began with a Trump interview that aired Sunday on ABC. Trump started pushing back against Khizr Khan, the father of a Muslim American soldier killed in Iraq. In a speech last week at the Democratic National Convention, Khan said that Trump had “sacrificed nothing and no one” and that his policies, such as a ban on Muslims entering the U.S., made him unfit to be president.

Trump did not back down from the criticism, arguing to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that he had sacrificed through business success. He doubled down on his comments later in the day, arguing that Khan did not know him and “has no right” to question his knowledge of the Constitution.

The GOP candidate’s most provocative comment about Khan, however, came in a pair of jabs in which he questioned why Khan’s wife was silent during the DNC speech — implying that a strict adherence to Islam was to blame.

News614: Commentary

The Democrats and their accomplices in the news media want to smear Trump with the racist, xenophobic label. Trump who comes from New York has worked with a diverse set of people from all religions, races, national origins and political ideologies. I would bet that up until the time he decided to run for President he has never in his business career been called a racist. Trump has no real political ideology. He is neither a Democrat nor a Republican. He is a real estate developer and he views the world through art of deal making. Now that Trump is in politics, he must come to the realization that name calling is nothing personal against him. The only reason why the Democrats, with the help of the news media, label him racist, xenophobe, misogynist, etc is because they want him to lose the election.

Senate Republicans on the spot over Trump comments on Khan

WASHINGTON (AP) — The uproar over Donald Trump’s criticism of a bereaved Army family put vulnerable GOP senators in a tight spot, underscoring anew the political challenges created for Republicans by their newly minted presidential nominee. And with the general election campaign now squarely underway, the firestorm over Trump’s attacks on the Khan family is likely just a taste of trials to come as Republicans negotiate how closely to align with their volatile nominee.

News614:Commentary

The Republicans are so off base on the issue of the Khan Family. Khan’s son volunteered to fight on behalf of America against the Islamic terrorists. He was killed by Islamic terrorist. Why in God’s or Allah’s name would his parents criticize a presidential candidate whose goal to keep American’s safe from an influx of Islamic terrorism into the United States? The very same Islamic terrorists who killed their son.

The Republicans have to get their heads on straight and start aiming their criticism at the the Democratic candidate whose misguided refugee plan will only create more terrorist acts in the United States.

‘Ours Is A Sacrifice You Will Never Know’: Gold Star Family Members Demand Apology from Trump

News614: Commentary

The Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party along with their accomplices in the news media are trying to obfuscate the real issue by introducing two straw man arguments                                                                                                       1. Who has made greater sacrifices, the Khans or Donald Trump?

2. What was Mrs. Khans motivation for not speaking at the convention?

I believe the real question that every voter should ponder is, should we follow the policies of Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party that would allow tens of thousand of Muslim migrants into our country even though ISIS and other Islamic terrorists plan to infiltrate the refugees and kill Americans?

Delegates grand patriotic finale wraps up the Democratic show

News614: Commentary

I have never seen such an outpouring of patriotism at a Democratic Convention before in recent years. It reminded me of watching a Republican Convention. Whenever the Republicans demonstrate patriotism like that at their Conventions it is characterized by the leftist news media as insincere, pretentious, shallow, overdone, superficial and stagy. The Democratic Party along with their accomplices in the news media are just a bunch of hypocrites.

Why the ignorant assault upon Israeli settlements?

This article was first published on the Council on Foreign Relations site. This week the State Department engaged in a remarkable assault on Israel. Both in tone and in content, it marks a new hostility—and plenty of sheer ignorance. The comment was titled “Recent Israeli Settlement Announcements,” and the full text ran as follows: We are deeply concerned by reports today that the Government of Israel has published tenders for 323 units in East Jerusalem settlements. This follows Monday’s announcement of plans for 770 units in the settlement of Gilo. We strongly oppose settlement activity, which is corrosive to the cause of peace.

News614: Commentary

The Obama Administration is “deeply concerned” by reports that Government of Israel is allowing their own citizens  to build homes and settle in Jerusalem the capital of their own country. I just wish that the same Obama Administration would be just half as “deeply concerned” about the influx of illegal immigrants and Islamic terrorists crossing our open borders and settling in American cities and communities as they are about Israel’s domestic policies.

Clinton campaign: Computer service used by campaign hacked is a threat to national security.

Computer hacking, emails and indications of Russian involvement have evolved into a political issue in the presidential campaign between Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump.

This week, Trump encouraged Russia to seek and release more than 30,000 other missing emails deleted by Clinton, the former secretary of state. Democrats accused him of trying to get a foreign adversary to conduct espionage that could affect this November’s elections, but Trump later said he was merely being sarcastic.

News614: Commentary

The Democratic Party’s accomplices in the leftist news media are trying to spin the cyber-security incident against the DNC as some kind of plot by Russia to help Donald Trump win the election on the assumption that Trump will be more accommodating with Russia. Why would Putin prefer Trump as President when, under Hillary’s tenure as Secretary of State, he was able to invade Crimea, annex portions of the Ukraine, get access to trillions of dollars of Black Sea oil and gas, station Russian troops in Syria, maintain his buddy Assad as dictator, sign a defense pact with Syria, Iran and Iraq (who we put in power) and win Russia a sphere of influence in the Middle East? Putin accomplished all this under the tenure of Secretary of State Clinton. Common sense tells me that it would be more advantageous for Putin if Hillary Clinton is in charge of U.S. foreign policy over Trump any day.

Khizr Khan: Donald Trump has a ‘black soul’

At last week’s convention, Khizr Khan delivered a stinging rebuke of Trump over his call for a ban on Muslims entering the United States — a policy that would have prevented his son from serving in the U.S. military.

News614:Commentary

I sympathize the parents of the American soldier  of Muslim heritage who lost his life fighting against Islamic terrorism. I just wonder what the reaction of the Hillary Clinton, the Democrats and their accomplices in the establishment news media would have been during WWII had an American soldier of German heritage lost his life fighting against Nazi terrorism and his father made a speech at the Democratic convention criticizing a candidate for considering a ban on non-violent Germans who sympathize with the Nazi ideology entering the United States along with Gestapo infiltrators. Do you think the Democrats and Hillary Clinton would rally in support of his father?
